Electrical / Electronic Engineering – Workshop Technician

West London

£31,600 – £33,600 per annum (including London Weighting)

Full Time | 36 hours per week | 52 weeks per year

An established and well-equipped Further Education provider in West London is seeking a Skilled Technician in Electrical / Electronic Engineering to support Higher Education provision within its Engineering department.

This role involves supporting delivery across specialist facilities including Power & Robotics, PLC & Mechatronics, Electronics and related laboratory environments. You will assist lecturers in preparing equipment and learning resources, maintain tools and laboratory equipment, supervise students during practical sessions, manage stock and consumables, and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with electrical equipment, PLCs, robotics and mechatronics

• Experience using

industry and HE software such as Multisim, Matlab, PLC systems, Verilog, LabVIEW and C programming

• Strong understanding of workshop/lab health & safety

• Ability to work effectively with staff and students in an educational environment
